Best-selling children's author and TV personality David Walliams has been dropped by his longtime publishing house, according to an announcement.
A spokesman for the company stated: "Following a thorough review, and following the appointment of its recently appointed chief executive, HarperCollins UK has decided not to publish additional books by David Walliams."
Media sources suggest that the move was made after an inquiry regarding claims about conduct deemed unsuitable involving female individuals.
The firm declined to specify the specific rationale behind the move, adding: "It is not our policy to discuss confidential company decisions."
Walliams ranks among Britain's most best-selling authors for kids, with sales exceeding over six tens of millions of copies globally in 55 languages.
His inaugural foray into kids' literature, *The Boy in the Dress*, was published by HarperCollins in 2008.
Several of his titles, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as TV movies.
His bibliography includes over four dozen titles combined, including a festive story titled *Santa & Son*, which was released through HarperCollins last autumn.
His initial claim to fame came on the TV sketch series *Little Britain* and has also won National Television Awards for his duties as an arbiter on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He received an OBE in 2017 for his services to philanthropic and artistic endeavors.
This move occurs subsequent to the naming of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's recent CEO this past October.
